Our Role
Float Art Design is happy to step in at any stage of the design process. If you have a specific design in mind and have your own artists–great. If you have an idea but don’t know how to execute it, we can help. If you want us to design from start to finish, that’s fine, too. For ideas and inspiration, view our work in the portfolio. There are no design fees if you submit camera-ready art; if you need us to design, fees range from $50-200, depending on time spent.
Cost of a Pen “Run”
Prices are determined by quantity and barrel choice, quoted on a per-pen basis. Similar to a print run, price decreases as pen quantities increase. A minimum order is 550 pens, and price breaks occur at larger quantities. Call 1-888-32-FLOAT (1-888-323-5628) or email us for current price information.
Turnaround Times
- To produce electronic proof – 3 business days
- If you decide to produce an actual pen prototype – 10-12 business days
- From approval to ship date – 20 business days (for conceal/reveal designs – 25 business days)
- Shipping time – 2-3 business days
Last Steps
At the point that you have received the electronic art and are ready to approve the design for production, we ask for an approximate 50% deposit. At this point you also make final decisions concerning pen quantity, pen styles, and barrel colors. For a minimum order (550 pens) you may choose up to three barrel colors. For an order of 1100, you may choose four colors; for larger orders, you may choose more colors.
